I've been working on a new track for the nO thiN -g project with John Connell.
It is not a middleeastern rhythm per se but uses a cuban rhythm that has a very
strong influence from middleeastern music.
It's a work in progress but I thought you all might enjoy listening to it.
It's downloadable in mp3 form for free (43 megs, I believe) at
www.looppool.info/nO-thiN-g...MBIQUE.wav
Let me know what you think

Re: working on a new track for nO thiN -g
Thu, March 1, 2007 - 2:32 PM635 people in this tribe............a free track in a genre that has very few offerings and I haven't had a single response to this posting.
Are people hating this and not telling me or is anyone actually even reading these posts?
Just curious.

Thu, March 1, 2007 - 3:51 PMI'll bite.
It's not what I"m looking for. The ambient background stuff and the lack of a melody doesn't give me any musical context or texture to work with. And if I wanted just rhythmic drums, I'd choose a live recording over a drum/click track.
But thanks for sharing - keep it up! -
