I'm going to be teaching a Poi for Belly Dancers workshop on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Jai Shanti Yoga at 2:30 in the afternoon. We're going to be covering glow poi, flag poi, veil poi, and last but not least, fire poi and how they can be used by the modern belly dancer. This class is appropriate for cabaret, tribal, or my personal favorite, tribaret dancers. Non-belly dancing poi dancers will also be accommodated as poi principles, dance theory and fire safety will also be covered.
